Charlotte Beauchemin Obituary

Charlotte M. (Lanctot) Beauchemin, 92, of Woonsocket, died August 4, 2021 at home. She was the wife of Bernard Beauchemin whom she married on November 5, 1949. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late former R.I. State Rep. Eugene Lanctot, Sr. and Catherine (Toomey) Lanctot.

Mrs. Beauchemin was a homemaker and a former member of the Woonsocket Historical Society.

Along with her husband, Bernard, she is survived by her seven children, Charlene Beauchemin of Blackstone, Paul Beauchemin of Los Angeles, CA, Glenn Beauchemin and his spouse, Julia Smith, of Cambridge, MA, Mark Beauchemin and his spouse, Anne, of Towanda, PA, Kerry Beauchemin and his spouse, Lars Nord, of New York, NY, Lynne Beauchemin of Woonsocket, and Scott Beauchemin and his spouse, Stephen Kirklys, of Los Angeles, CA; three grandchildren, Kaitlin Yaffe, and Walker and Zelia Beauchemin; as well as a great grandson, Theodore Yaffe. She was the sister of the late Eugene, Earle, Raymond, Russel and former Woonsocket Mayor Francis Lanctot, and Catherine Grace Boucher, Janet Tripodi, and Marion Theresa King.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2021 beginning with visitation at 10am, followed by a service at Noon in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Stadium Theatre Foundation, 28 Monument Square, Woonsocket, RI 02895.
