Christine McMann Obituary

Christine A. (DeThomas) McMann, 68, of Cranston, formerly of Woonsocket, died May 6, 2021 in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of Kevin M. McMann, whom she married July 21, 2003. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of Dorothy (Bardell) DeThomas of North Smithfield, and the late John DeThomas.

Christine was a 1970 graduate of Woonsocket High School. She was a secretary for Giguere Marchand Oil until her retirement, and had previously worked at the former Slatersville Pharmacy. Some of her hobbies included gardening, interior design - especially primitive decor, shopping as much for herself as others, she was a giver and was always concerned about others more so than herself. She was an avid reader and a fashionista! Our mother had her own style and loved the feedback she would get from people about it. Her favorite pastime was watching the Red Sox with her husband and two dogs, Fenway and Baby.

Besides her husband and mother, she leaves three children, Josh Stone of Harrisville, Jennifer Maynard and her husband, David, of Warren, and Anna McMann of Kittery, ME; her twin brother, James DeThomas of Woonsocket; her sister, Barbara Kafalas of Glendale; and four grandchildren, Cameron and Olivia Stone, and Jake and Joseph Diogo.

Her visitation will be held Thursday May 13, 2021 from 5-7 PM, followed by a service at 7 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to your local food bank.
