David T. Hopkins, 70, of North Smithfield, died June 13, 2024 in his home. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Richard S. and Betty Jane (Lapham) Hopkins.

He enjoyed being outdoors, sitting under the maple tree, and watching the birds and animals in the yard. He also enjoyed watching reruns of his favorite show Mash. He liked watching football and going to concerts with his son. His favorite activity was spending time with his grandson, Isaac.
He leaves his son, Benjamin Hopkins, and his fiancee, Amanda Tancrell, of North Smithfield; his sister, Gail Bois of Woonsocket; and his grandson, Isaac Hopkins of North Smithfield. He was predeceased by his brother, Stephen Hopkins.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2024, with a service at 10 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, North Smithfield. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5-7 PM.
