Donald P. Fitzsimmons, Jr.

Donald P. Fitzsimmons Jr., 66, of Uxbridge, MA, died December 10, 2025 in HopeHealth, Providence. He was the husband of Stacey (Symes-McCutcheon) Fitzsimmons of Uxbridge. Born in Waltham, he was the son of the late Donald Sr. and Mary (O'Neill) Fitzsimmons.

Donald worked as a machinist for C-Tech, Webster for many years and loved his job. Before his career as a machinist, he served in the United States Army and was a proud Veteran. Donald was an avid golfer, and even hit a hole-in-one last year. He loved animals, classic cars, and mowing the lawn. He was a true people person, and loved spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids. 

Along with his wife, Stacey, he is survived by his children, Christine Van Singel and her husband Matt of Tallahassee, FL and Thomas Fitzsimmons and his wife Jessica, of Acton, MA; his identical twin, David Fitzsimmons of SC; his sister, Kathleen Tipping of Bellingham; and four grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, starting with visitation at 1PM followed by the service at 4PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary, 266 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895
