Donald Graham Obituary

Donald S. Graham, 86, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025 with his family by his side.

Born and raised in New Brunswick Canada, Donald endured the early loss of his parents, Frank and Elva Graham. He was lovingly raised by his Uncle Ed and Aunt Ness (Edwin and Agnes Smith), whom he cherished as his own parents.

Donald is survived by his sons, Stuart and Stephen (Terri); his grandchildren Shelby, Heather and Stephen; his sister, Darlene; his cousin, Wendy (Gordon); and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his former wife, Sandra Graham, and his youngest son, Douglas Graham.

An exceptional student, Donald graduated as valedictorian of Petitcodiac Regional High School and went on to attend the University of New Brunswick. He proudly served in the US Army with the101st Airborne Division before embarking on a long and dedicated career with General Motors. He was also a part time bookkeeper for the Head Start program in Woonsocket for many years. A man of strong faith, Donald also served as a Deacon at First Baptist Church in Woonsocket, RI.

Donald found joy in life’s simple pleasures: square dancing with Sandy, country music, baking cookies, and the companionship of cats. He also had a passion for Jaguar automobiles, drawn to their elegance and performance. In his earlier years, he proudly built a small collection that reflected his deep appreciation for these classic cars.

The Graham family extends their sincere gratitude to the hospice team at Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans' Hospital for their exceptional and compassionate care.

A private service will be held in accordance with the family’s wishes.
