Donald D. Heroux

Donald D. Heroux, 78, of Woonsocket, passed away February 25, 2024 at home. He was the beloved husband of Estelle (McNeil) Heroux whom he married August 3, 1968. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Hormidas and Florida (Lamoureux) Heroux.

As an ambitious individual, he began his first job at Auger's Menswear and in 1969 started his own business, D & B Landscaping of Woonsocket, RI. Don was a man of deep faith. He was a communicant of St. Agatha's Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Men of St. Joseph. He liked hunting, card games, inspirational reading, watching football, vacationing in Aruba and a good cigar. He greatly enjoyed date nights with his wife and spending time with family and friends.

Along with his wife, Estelle, he is survived by two sons, Brian Heroux and his wife, Leah, of Cumberland, and Brandon Heroux and his wife, Cynthia, of North Smithfield; and two granddaughters, Alexia Heroux and Avanjolique Heroux.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Agatha's Church, 34 Joffre Ave., Woonsocket, RI 02895. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Rd., Bellingham, MA. Calling hours are Monday from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Agatha's Church.
