Donald C. Kafalas

Donald C. Kafalas, 84, of North Smithfield, died September 8, 2021 in Oakland Grove Health Care, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Gertrude (Levesque) Kafalas whom he married June 13, 1958. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Constant and Florence (Brunelle) Kafalas.



Mr. Kafalas was a Navy Veteran and worked as a Personnel Manager for Tupperware, North Smithfield, retiring in 1998. Donald was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church, Slatersville. He was a former member of the North Smithfield Kiwanis Club, and enjoyed golfing and bowling.



Along with his wife, Gertrude, he is survived by two sons, Dennis Kafalas of Glendale, and Jeffrey Kafalas of Central Falls; two sisters, Joyce Serafin, and Darlene Atwill, both of North Providence; five grandchildren, Daniel, Timothy, Addison, Michael, and Amanda; as well as, two great grandchildren, Dylan and Mya. He was the brother of the late Russell and Dennis Kafalas and Joan Paulhus.



Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, RI 02895. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
