Donald Perron Obituary

Donald A. Perron, 90, of North Smithfield, RI, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Donald was the beloved son of the late Frederick and Alice (Marcotte) Perron.

Mr. Perron grew up in Woonsocket and graduated from Woonsocket High School. He served honorably in the United States Air Force. For most of Donalds professional career, he was employed by Waterman Engineering of Providence as a surveyor. Donald was a great appreciator of being out in nature, so his career as a surveyor was ideal. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed walking, hiking, skiing and swimming. Donald was known to often travel in his younger years in order to even more enjoy the outdoors and often in the company of family members. Mr. Perron was a devoted son who took care of his beloved mother, Alice, until her passing. He was also a caring, dedicated brother to his two sisters and his three nieces and three nephews. Donald will be remembered for his generous nature and for always being there for any family member that required help. He was an extremely talented artist in both photographer and in painting landscapes. He chronicled family milestones and occasions for the entire family and would present beautiful slideshows for family during holidays to everyones enjoyment.

Mr. Perron is survived by his sister, Rachel Renaud, of Cumberland, and three nieces, Diane Jolin and her husband, Michael, of Cumberland, Susan Lataille and her husband, Gary, of Woonsocket, and Michelle Baldelli and her husband, Dan, of Cumberland; Francis Carney, husband to Donalds late sister, M. Jeanne Carney, of Florida, and three nephews, Kevin Carney and his wife, Tammy, Christopher Carney and his wife Victoria, and Keith Carney, all of Florida. Donald will also be missed by the staff and fellow residents of LHospice St. Antoine, North Smithfield.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket, and will be private.
