Donald M. Sylvestre

Donald M. Sylvestre, 74, of North Smithfield, passed away May 2, 2024 in The Friendly Home, Woonsocket. He was the husband of the late Lorraine (Baillargeon) Sylvestre. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Rene and Constance (Leveillee) Sylvestre.

Mr. Sylvestre served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, and worked as a stocker for Stop and Shop, and previously for Ames warehouse. Donald liked to listen to records, watch game shows, and re-watch old home videos. 

He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Sylvestre, and her husband, David Paterson, of Pawtucket; his brother, Arthur Sylvestre of Woonsocket; three grandchildren, Samantha, Ryan, and Brook; and two great grandsons, Jacobi and Jasper. 

Visitation will be held Monday May 13, 2024 beginning at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Church, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Wrentham Rd., Bellingham. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St, Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary, 266 Mendon Road, Woonsocket, RI 02895.
