Doris V. (Giroux) Giguere

Doris V. (Giroux) Giguere, 84, of Blackstone, died June 6, 2024 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of Raoul H. Giguere, with whom she celebrated her 65th wedding anniversary on April 18th. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Doris (Dextradeur) Giroux.

Doris was a graduate of Woonsocket High School. She was retired, after working 35 years for CVS Corporation, and had also worked for Finklestein's and Eastern Toy. Doris belonged to the Fancy Squares with her husband, Raoul, where they enjoyed square dancing together. She loved to gamble, but above all, loved spending time with her family.

Besides her husband, Raoul, she leaves their son, Robert J. Giguere and his wife, Lucie, of Woonsocket; two grandchildren, Kristen Lanctot and her husband, Jonathan, of Woonsocket, and David Giguere and his wife, Pauline, of Smithfield; and four great grandchildren, Hailey, Taylin, Jackson and David, Jr.

Her funeral will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 beginning with visitation at 10 AM, followed by a service at 11 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket.
