Doris M. (Racine) Harnois, 97, of Greenville and formerly of Woonsocket, Cumberland, and Tavares, FL passed away January 28, 2025 in Lydia Taft House, Uxbridge. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Harnois. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Leopold and Laurilda (Rioux) Racine.
Mrs. Harnois worked for the former U.S. Rubber, Woonsocket and worked as an administrative assistant for Travelers Insurance, Providence for twenty-nine years. During her time in Florida, she volunteered in the gift shop for Advent Health and was active at her living facility, The Cove, participating in events they held. Doris enjoyed crossword puzzles, word searches, coloring, and traveling and cruises. In her younger years, she was a active member of the American Legion Auxillary Post 86 in Cumberland.
She is survived by her niece, Christine Grocki and her husband, Thaddeus, of Harrisville and their two children, Todd Grocki and Tara Thisse. She was the mother of the late Dennis P. Harnois and Richard F. Harnois, and the sister of the late Robert Racine.
Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
