Doris Larue Obituary

Doris A. (Gervais) Larue, 97, of Woonsocket, died September 10, 2020 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Russell Larue. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Azarie and Rose Alba (Beaucage) Gervais.

Mrs. Larue worked in several Woonsocket area industrial mills, retiring from Foster Metals. Doris was a lifelong member of St. Anns Church, Woonsocket.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Larue, of Woonsocket; her niece and goddaughter, Denise Boulet and her husband Donald of Wakefield:two nephews, Ronald Godfrin and his partner RonBernierof Woonsocket, and HenriGodfrin and his wife Carol of Woonsocket; four great nephews; agreat niece; eightgreat great nephews and nieces; a great great great nephew, Holden;and her goddaughter, Helene Beaucageof Montreal, Canada. She was predeceased by her brother, Gerald Gervais, her sister, Germaine Godfrin, and her brother-in-law, Fernand Godfrin.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 8:30 - 10 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in All Saints Parish, 323 Rathbun St., Woonsocket. The mass can be viewed live online at https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/93616257 Social distancing guidelines will be implemented upon arrival to the funeral home and church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ballou Home, 60 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895.

The family would like to thank the nurses, nurses aides, and the dietary staff at the Ballou Home for the care Doris received during her time there.
