Earl Minot Obituary
Earl R. Minot, 63, of Woonsocket, died April 12, 2021 in his home. He was the husband of Joan D. (Marchessault) Minot, whom he married February 19, 1977. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Murielle (Belisle) Parent, and her husband, Norman, of Woonsocket, and the late Raymond E. Minot.
Earl was a graduate of Our Lady of Providence Preparatory Seminary High School, and attended Rhode Island College. He worked for Lew Horton Distributing for 28 years, retiring in 2019. Earl was very active in Scouting. He was Scout Master of Troop 2 Woonsocket for many years, and was Assistant Unit District Commissioner. An avid outdoorsman, Earl hiked all of the 4,000 footers in New Hampshire - a feat he was very proud of. He also enjoyed shooting, fly tying, and rock climbing.
Besides his wife Joan, and his mother, Murielle, he leaves his children, Megan Condon and her husband Andrew of Johnston and Michael Minot and his wife, Michelle of Barnstead, NH, and two sisters, Betty Ann Bibeault of Woonsocket, and Susan Turcotte of Blackstone, MA; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Moniz of Fall River, Rebekkah and Tucker Condon of Johnston, and Emmet Minot of Barnstead, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Monday, April 19, 2021 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Parish, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket and may be viewed live at https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/24688441 Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 1-3 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
