Ed served in the US Army for 3 years stationed in Aberdeen Maryland, where he was a cook. Ed and Gail lived there for the first year of their marriage before he served the last 10 months in Vietnam. Ed loved gardening, growing tomatoes and many other vegetables. He also enjoyed wood working, building mostly bird houses which a store in Bellingham loved to sell for him. He looked forward every year to opening day to spend fishing with his son, grandson, his brother Roger, his friends and cousins.

He liked helping and assisted with cooking many Special dinners at the First Baptist Church of Woonsocket. He also enjoyed volunteering his time at The Because He Lives Kitchen cooking meals for people in need.
Ed loved spending time with his family, camping, cook outs and all the special get togethers. He spent a lot of time at the ocean, clamming, fishing and enjoying picnics.
He was a member of the National Guard, Primrose Grange and a member of Georgiaville Baptist Church. Edward was an incredible loving husband, father and grandfather. He will always be loved and remembered by all of us.
