Edward L. Cournoyer, Jr.

Edward L. Cournoyer, Jr., 72, of Woonsocket, passed away January 31, 2026 at home. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Stella (St. Jacques) and Edward L. Cournoyer, Sr.

Edward worked as a med tech and orderly for Zambarano hospital for many years till retirement. He was a man of faith and very involved with his church. Edward had a big heart and loved to help others, including helping to feed the homeless. He believed Jesus Christ is his Lord and Savior. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sister, Jo-Ann Bubier, her husband Douglas of North Providence; his niece and nephew, Angela Washington-Jervais her husband Tom, Jesse Washington, Jocelyn Girard and Marcel Girard; as well as many great-nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Sylvio and Gus Cournoyer and Beth Cournoyer-Girard.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 10:00AM in Revival Christian Center, 383 Arnold St., Woonsocket. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 S. Main Street, Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary, 266 Mendon Rd, Woonsocket, RI 02895.
