Elsie B. Gucfa

Elsie B. (Mathewson) Gucfa, 93, of Blackstone, died June 12, 2021 in Overlook Nursing Rehabilitation Center, Pascoag. She was the wife of the late Frank J. Gucfa, Jr. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Blanche (Savignac) Mathewson.

Mrs. Gucfa enjoyed the outdoors, especially watching and feeding birds, and spending time in her flower gardens, but most of all, she loved being with her family.

She is survived by two sons, John Gucfa, of Pascoag, and Edward Gucfa, of Wakefield; four grandchildren, Erika, Brandon, Michael, and Kelly Gucfa; as well as, five great grandchildren, Emily, Isabella, Landon, and Addison Orlick, and Corina Madison. She was the sister of the late Harold, Edward, and Russell Mathewson.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 9am from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Pauls Church, 48 St. Paul St., Blackstone. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5 - 7pm.
