Ernest E. Desjarlais

Ernest E. Desjarlais, 74, of Somerset, MA, died Saturday, May 15, 2021 in Somerset Ridge. He was the husband of the late Nancy Desjarlais. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Leo and Loretta (Latraverse) Desjarlais.

Ernie worked as a Systems Coordinator for Foxboro Company, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed fishing, going to the casino and making friends and family laugh.

He is survived by his two children and their families, Steven Desjarlais, his wife, Karen and their children, Katie and Kara of Somerset; Kerri Stone, her husband, Shawn, and their children, Lauren, Andrew and Matthew of Lantana, TX; three brothers, Eugene and Raymond Desjarlais, of Florida, and Paul Desjarlais, of Virginia; five sisters, Beatrice Choquette, of Woonsocket, Jeanine Kelly, of Warwick, Lillian Decelles, of Maryland, Annette Desjarlais and Rina Houle, of Florida; He was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Desjarlais.

His visitation will be held Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 11AM - 12PM in Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket followed by a service at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd., Cumberland. A very special thank you to the staff of Somerset Ridge and Compassionate Care.
