Florence M. (Levesque) LeBlanc

Florence (Levesque) LeBlanc, 99, of Woonsocket, passed away December 17, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Leblanc, Sr., who passed away in 1973. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Florida (Brunelle) Levesque. She lived in Bellingham for 60 years.

Florence was past president of the Franco American Club and past president of the Apres Midi Club of Northern RI, Woonsocket. She worked in area mills and the school lunch program in Bellingham, before retiring. She enjoyed camping, gardening and crocheting. Family was a central part of her life.

She is survived by her daughters, Lorraine Kelly and her husband, Francis, with whom she resided and Diane Vachon of East Providence; two daughter in laws, Pauline and Nancy LeBlanc; her sister, Doris Varieur of Florida; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons, Robert LeBlanc, Jr. and Richard LeBlanc; her great granddaughter, Jordan Fontaine; and her siblings, Blanche Laplante, Alice Duquette, Florida Beaudette, Arthur Levesque, Rene Levesque, and Albert Levesque.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023, beginning with visitation from 8:30-9:30 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Church, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham. In lieu of flowers, donations in Florene's memory may be made to St. Antoine Residence, Attn: Activities Fund, 10 Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield, RI 02896.
