Gail Warren Obituary

Gail Warren of Sebring, FL, passed away quietly at her home on April 16, 2026. She was born August 9, 1941 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Gail grew up in Blackstone, Massachusetts and graduated from St. Claire's High School in Woonsocket, RI She also attended Worcester Junior College. She met her future husband, Malcolm, at a church youth group and they were married January 29, 1966. They moved to Randolph, VT in 1973 where they raised their 4 sons. Gail supported all her son's interests whether they were playing sports, participating with the high school band or the Boy Scouts. After 12 years in Vermont, the family moved to Pennsylvania and then to Hickory, NC where Gail and Malcolm opened their own insurance agency. After retiring and spending several winters in Florida, Malcolm and Gail finally settled in Sebring in 2017.

In retirement, Gail enjoyed traveling, especially if there was a casino involved. You could often find her at the Bingo Hall or playing in local card games; she was a force to be reckoned when it came to Texas Hold-em. Gail and Malcolm have also taken several cruises to places like Alaska, the Caribbean, and the Panama Canal.

Gail was preceded in death by her brother James Batcheller, her parents James and Rachel Batcheller, her son Christopher Warren and brother-in-law, Dale Ryan. She is survived by her husband Malcolm, Jr, sons Malcolm III (Kristan) of Cardington, OH, Richard (Karen) of Palmyra, VA and Jason (partner Bobbie Jo Lefebvre) of Newport, VT. She is survived by 5 siblings, Diane (John) Grady, Lynn Ryan, Mark (Janine) Batcheller, Karen Batcheller and Mary Ellen (Richard) Kennedy, as well as 6 grandsons, a granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Friday, May 1, 2026, beginning with visitation from 9-10 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 S. Main St., Woonsocket, RI, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Divine Mercy Parish (formerly St. Paul's) 48 St. Paul St., Blackstone, MA. Following Mass there will be a procession to North Purchase Street Cemetery on Pinewood Rd. in Milford for a graveside burial service.
