George Martinelli Obituary

George R. Martinelli, 77, of Woonsocket passed away at Landmark Medical Center on October 27, 2023. He was the husband of Wilma (Acord) Martinelli of Woonsocket.  Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Mario Martinelli and Antoinette (Marzini) Martinelli.

He was a lifetime member of the Italian Workingmen's Club.  He also enjoyed woodworking, painting, playing guitar, making pens, and making fishing poles.  He loved spending time with family and friends.

Along with his wife, Wilma, he is survived by their sons, Anthony Martinelli and his wife Debra of Pascoag and Michael Martinelli and his wife Marie of Mapleville; eight grandchildren, Chad, Joseph, Mikey, Katlyn, Jessica, Samantha, Britni and Emily and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Mario "Sonny" Martinelli, Mary Bacon, Dorothy Lafrenaye and Jo-Ann Paone.

His funeral will be held Monday, November 6, 2023 with a graveside service at 11AM at St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone.  Calling hours will be Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 1PM to 4PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association, National Direct Response, PO Box 756, Osceola, WI  54020-0756.
