Georgette R. (Caron) Duguay, 92, of Woonsocket, died February 23, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Marcel Duguay, whom she married August 30, 1952. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Clovis and Aline (Durand) Caron.
Georgette worked for Stanley Home Products and Fuller Brush for over 60 years, running home demonstrations and fundraisers at various senior living facilities in Woonsocket. She was an active communicant of St. Joseph's Church, where she served as a Eucharistic minister and taught CCD to special needs children. Georgette was a member of the Christian Family Movement, and ProLife Across America - an organization for whom she worked hard to raise funds for prolife bulletin boards in RI. Georgette received the Lumen Gentium award from the Diocese of Providence for her work defending the unborn. She enjoyed gardening and dancing, and was a world traveler, visiting many countries, every continent, and taking road trips across America and Canada. Georgette enjoyed attending numerous family events, and her strong Christian values helped shape her children's lives.
She leaves her children, Laurent Duguay and his wife, Debora, of Smithfield, Michelle Gautreau and her husband, Robert, of Hopedale, MA, Denise Gray and her husband, Scott, of Embden, ME, Lisette Clem and her husband, Thomas, of Woonsocket, and Daniel Duguay and his wife, Sherri, of Warwick; her sister, Blanche Roy of ME; sixteen grandchildren; ten great granddaughters. She was predeceased by her brothers, Andre and J. Alphe Caron.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Bellingham, MA.
