Gordon L. Gomes, Jr.

Gordon L. Gomes, Jr., 47, of Woonsocket, died unexpectedly October 26, 2024, at his home. He was the husband of Rebecca (Sincavage) Gomes; they have been together for 22 years. Born in Warwick, he was the son of Debra (Dupre) Gomes of Woonsocket and the late Gordon Gomes, Sr.

Gordon had a kind soul, an infectious smile and made friends wherever he went. He was a hard worker, smart and always quick to crack a joke to make those around him smile. In his down time, he enjoyed watching sports, listening to music, being with his family and friends and volunteering at historical cemeteries. He loved his family and friends with all that he had and everyone that was lucky enough to know Gordon, loved him.

Along with his wife, Rebecca, and mother, Debra, he is survived by his sisters, Judith Neary and her husband Keith, of Woonsocket, and Stacey Miner of Coventry; his father-in-law, William Sincavage, II and his wife Lori, of WY; his two brothers-in-law, William Sincavage, III of Burrillville and Brad Sincavage of Woonsocket; his sister-in-law, Brittany Sincavage of NH; Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, many Nieces and Nephews and his two cats, Chucky and Toze.

A visitation will be held Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 2-4PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary, 266 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895.
