Griffin Adam Burdette, 24, of Pascoag, passed away peacefully in his home on April 28, 2024, surrounded by his family. Born in Providence, he was the son of Lori (Coutu) Perrault and her husband, Steven, of Pascoag, and Adam Burdette of RI.
Griffin was a 2019 graduate of Ponaganset High School, where he played in the Unified chorus. He also played various sports, through his youth, with the TOPS program, in Glocester; in addition to pool therapy and horseback riding (hippo therapy). He loved the beach, babies, blondes, hayrides, Jacuzzis, television, especially Shrek and The Loud House, his man cave, and Disney World, where he could ride It's A Small World over and over. Griffin was an animal whisperer and had a special place in his heart for his chicken, Wyatt, and dogs, Cylus, Shelby, and Jaxson, and his goats. Griffin’s earthly limitations did not deter him from touching everyone who knew him; he spoke with his eyes; gigantic smile and he was a superhero warrior until the end. He is now free of pain and able to run on the beach and say whatever is on his mind.
Besides his parents, Lori, Steven, and Adam, he leaves his brother, Noah Burdette of RI; two sisters, Savannah and Lindsey Perrault of Fall River; his grandparents, Richard Lemieux and his wife, Anne of Santa Clarita, CA, Diane Lemieux of Woonsocket, Marcel Coutu and his wife, Lois, of Bellingham, Sandra Perrault of North Smithfield, Christine Burdette of Woonsocket, and David Burdette of SC; many very special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; his godmother Kimberley Demers and his longtime nurse, Lorri Astillero, as well as the many other nurses and caregivers from Hope Nursing Home Care, Woonsocket as well as the amazing teachers, TA’s, doctors and ICU nurses he has had through the course of his life. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Howard Perrault.
His funeral will be held Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Eugene Church, 1251 Putnam Pike, Chepachet. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Pascoag Main St., Pascoag. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7 PM.
