Harold F. Bushnell, Jr., 78, of Woonsocket, died February 4, 2025 in Landmark Medical Center. Born in Whitinsville, MA, he was the son of the late Harold F. Bushnell, Sr. and the late Grace (Cook) Bushnell.
Harold worked for National Grid and was a member of its union. Harold took pride in caring for his home, and making any necessary repairs on his own. He enjoyed antiquing, short get-aways to NH or VT, and riding motorcycles. Harold did Rendezvous for many years, where he would spend a week living as if he were in fur trading times. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandkids, who were his whole world. Harold couldn't go anywhere without running into someone he knew, or meeting someone new. He would often say, "Strangers are just friends you haven't met yet."
He leaves his children, Branden Bushnell of WA, and Angelo Bushnell and Heather Masse, both of Woonsocket; two brothers, David Bushnell and his wife Jean of KY and Joseph Bushnell of FL; his sister, Maryann Clark of MD; six grandchildren, Kimberly, Kaitlyn and Bethany Masse; Victor and Ana Star Veras; and Landyn Bushnell; his partner, Camille Rodriguez of Woonsocket; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Jesse Bushnell.
His funeral will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025, beginning with visitation from 1-4 PM, followed by a service at 4 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 702, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
