Henry W. Glode, Sr., 81, of Woonsocket, passed away January 27, 2026 at home. He was the husband of Donna Hayes-Herzog of Woonsocket. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Ernest and Doris (Lee) Glode.
Mr. Glode served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and worked for St. John the Baptist and Precious Blood Cemeteries and also worked for Walmart. Henry loved to spend time with his family and to attend AutumnFest every year. He also enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling and the New England Patriots, playing games and traveling.
Along with his wife, Donna, he is survived by his children, David Glode and his wife, Barbara, of Omaha, NE, Donna Wilson and her late husband, Gerald, of Woonsocket, Debra Singleton and her husband, Charles, of Florida, Dawn Fontaine and her husband, Robert, of Bellingham, Darlene Glode of Woonsocket, Dennis Glode of Woonsocket, Henry Glode, Jr. of Omaha, NE, Thomas Glode of Sloan, IA, and Lucien Glode of Sloan, IA; a brother, Alan Glode of Woonsocket; two sisters, Anita Cote of Woonsocket, and Lois Ward of Pascoag; nineteen grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren.
Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
