Isabel Eileen (Malhoit) Flynn

Isabel E. (Malhoit) Flynn, 96, of North Smithfield, died February 5, 2025 in St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Robert P. Flynn, whom she married in 1949. Born in Blackstone, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Loretta (Bentley) Malhoit.

Isabel earned her Bachelor's Degree in 1971, later receiving her Masters' Degree from Worcester State College in 1980. She was incredibly proud of returning to school later in life. Isabel was a fifth and sixth grade teacher in the Blackstone School system until her retirement in 1991. She was an avid watercolor painter, enjoyed playing tennis with her husband and their friends in Florida, and walking for exercise. Isabel was a communicant of Divine Mercy Parish, Blackstone.

She leaves her daughter, Eileen Verhoest and her husband, Ronald, of Blackstone, MA, Maureen MacMillan of Falmouth, MA, and Mary Beth Mclaughlin and her husband, Patrick, of Sandwich, MA; five grandchildren, Patrick, Amy, Meredith, Hannah and Grace; and six great grandchildren, Emma, Joshua, Quinlan, Nolan, Nora, and Brynn. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward Malhoit; two sisters, Mary Malhoit and Doris Cardella; and her son-in-law Bruce MacMillan.

Her funeral will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 beginning with visitation from 9-10:15AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in Divine Mercy Parish, 48 St. Paul St., Blackstone. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Antoine Residence, Attn: Activities Fund, 10 Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield, RI 02896.
