Jackie D. Davison, 84, of North Smithfield, died October 22, 2024 in his home. He was the husband of the late Claire D. (Ethier) Davison, whom he married July 10, 1982. He was born in Hebron, NE.
Jackie was a police officer for the City of Woonsocket, retiring in 1995. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Jackie was a member of the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks, and enjoyed woodworking.
He leaves his sons, Ronald Davison and his wife, Melody Beach of Southbridge, MA, and Scott Davison and his companion, Brenda Jalette of North Smithfield; his step children, Cheryl Bergeron of Whitinsville, MA, Steven Havunen, of Honolulu, HI., Kim Havunen of Pascoag, Dawn Alonzo of Bakersfield, CA, David Havunen of North Smithfield, and Patricia Dolan of Glocester; 45 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildern. He was predeceased by two sons, Carl and Alan Davison; one brother, and four sisters.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 12PM until 2PM in the Woonsocket Elks Lodge, 380 Social St, Woonsocket, RI. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, Woonsocket, RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Fraternal Order of Police, 701 Marriott Drive, Nashville, TN 37214.
