James McNally Obituary
James P. McNally, 70, of Woonsocket, died January 30, 2020 at home. He was the husband of Shirley Arnold-McNally, whom he married May 8, 2010. Born in Norwich, CT, he was the son of the late James J. and Edith (Olson) McNally.
Jim served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and worked for various mills and factories in the area for many years. Jim enjoyed playing pool and poker, fishing, bowling, traveling, going to the casino, detailing cars, and playing guitar. He was a lover of lasagna, riding his scooter around town, and especially loved time spent going canning with his brother-in-law Mark Morse.
Along with his wife, Shirley, he is survived by his three children, James P. McNally, Jr. and his wife Corina of Preston, CT, Lisa Dubois of Providence, and April Day; two sisters, Katherine McNally of Voluntown, CT, and Sally Harrelle and her husband Richie of Griswold, CT; his sisters-in-law Sarah Arnold and her husband Jeff, and Amanda Morse and her husband Mark; nieces Geneva Arnold, Maegan-Dee Arnold, Lilith Lacasse, and Amy Weidner; nephews Jeffrey Arnold and Georgie Porgies Arnold; and grandchildren David and Theresa Whitehouse. He was preceded in death by his son, Jesse McNally, and his daughter, Maegan McNally; as well as his mother-in-law Linda Arnold, father-in-law George Arnold, and his Aunt Mary K.
His funeral will be held Friday, February 7, 2020 beginning with visitation at 2 PM, with a funeral service to take place at 4:30 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket, RI. Military Honors will follow.
