Jane (Perry) Joyal

Jane (Perry) Joyal, 90, of North Smithfield, died December 6, 2025 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Robert A. Joyal. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Francis Perry, Sr. and Winifred M. (Emidy) Perry.

Jane was a telephone operator for New England Telephone. She was the first and only female to serve as president of the North Smithfield Ambulance and Rescue Association.

She leaves her children, Barbara Joyal and her wife, Sue Johnson of Warwick, Christine Mathieu and her husband, Keith of Woonsocket and Carol Joyal-Arcand of North Smithfield; three grandchildren, Michelle LaFlamme, Dr. Keith Mathieu and Caitlin Arcand-Cortez; and three great grandchildren, Abby and Lexi LaFlamme and Ava Cortez. She was predeceased by her son in law, Anthony Arcand, and her brother, Francis Perry, Jr.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, September 5, 2026 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St., Slatersville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ALS United Rhode Island, 2374 Post Road, Suite 103, Warwick, RI 02886-2270.
