Janine J. (Vadeboncoeur) Marcotte

Janine Josette (Vadeboncoeur) Marcotte, 92 of Woonsocket, passed away August 25, 2024 in The Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Lea (Giouard) Vadeboncoeur.

Mrs. Marcotte worked for New England Instrument for 14 years, and had previously worked at Amica Insurance Company, Miller Electric, and Woonsocket City Hall. Throughout her sons' combined 50 years of naval service, she traveled to England, Spain, Hawaii, Virginia, and Florida. Janine was a communicant of Precious Blood Church, and a member of the Park View Social Club. She also enjoyed playing BINGO.

She leaves her sons, John of Davenport, FL and Robert of Jacksonville, FL; her daughter, Louise A. Desrosiers of Chesapeake, VA; five grandchildren, Jenna Aoyama, Luke Desrosiers, Kerrie Hilsheimer, David Marcotte, and Andrea Robinson; ten great grandchildren, Eleanore, Aiden, Anthony, Marie Rose, John Marc, Julianne, Nicole, Kayla, Madelynn, and Hailey; and a great-great grandson, Rowan.

Her funeral will be held Friday, September 13, 2024, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Precious Blood Church, 94 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
