Jean P. Chretien

Jean P. Chretien, 80, of Woonsocket, died September 18, 2017 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center. He was the husband of the late Muriel (Beaudet) Chretien. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Philippe and Jeannette (Lebeau) Chretien.

Jean enjoyed bowling, golf and traveling with his beloved wife. He especially enjoyed NASCAR racing and visited numerous racetracks around the country.

Mr. Chretien was a very talented machinist and tool maker, retiring from Technical Machining Services in Lincoln.

He is survived by his Son, Marcel Chretien and his wife Celeste of Harrisville; daughter, Therese Chretien and her husband Michael Dance of Saint Croix, US Virgin Islands; granddaughters, Dana Chretien of Harrisville and Nichole Gariepy of Saint Croix, US Virgin Island; and sister, Helene Gagnon and her husband Albert of Woonsocket. Jean was predeceased by his brother Edward Chretien.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 3 5 PM at the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association Rhode Island Chapter, 245 Waterman St., Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
