Jeanne D. (Tremblay) Beaudreau, 74, of Woonsocket, died January 29, 2023, in Rhode Island Hospital. Jeanne fought a valiant fight against cancer for fifteen years and passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Norbert W. Beaudreau, whom she married on September 14, 1968. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Doris (Bruyere) Tremblay.
Jeanne worked at the Ponderosa in Woonsocket, retiring in 1992. She was an active communicant and volunteer at St. Joseph's Church, Woonsocket. Over the years, Jeanne was a member of the church choir, active with the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), and a member of the Liturgy Committee for over thirty years. Jeanne loved to travel, especially on day trips around New England. She was also an avid gardener. Her favorite past time was babysitting and spending time with her great-grandson.
She leaves her children, Paul Beaudreau and his wife, Kim, of Cumberland, and John Beaudreau and his husband, Dameian Slocum, of Providence; three grandchildren, Stephen Beaudreau and his wife, Kaitlyn, Bryan Beaudreau, and Katelyn Jabotte; and her great-grandson, Jayden Beaudreau. She was predeceased by two brothers, George, and Paul Tremblay.
Her funeral will be held Monday, February 6, 2023, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd. The family will receive guests in the church beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
