Jeanne H. LaRose, 69, of Woonsocket, passed away on July 4, 2025, at The Friendly Home. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Claire (Corriveau) Bousquet and George LaRose of Mapleville.
Jeanne dedicated her life to helping others through her work in the healthcare field. Over the years, she served in various roles, including positions at Wrentham State School, Sheldonville Nursing Home, and in both private and home care. It was during her time in private care that she met Ray-whom she introduced to her sister Karen, and who later became Karen's husband. Jeanne later worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in group home settings and, as those facilities transitioned, she took on the role of dispatcher at the state hospital, where she remained until her retirement.
Known for her creativity and vibrant spirit, Jeanne enjoyed painting beach rocks, creating unique arrangements, and making those around her laugh. She had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor and was affectionately known as "Auntie Genius" by many who loved her.
She is survived by her son, Danny LaRose and his wife Isis of Fort Myers, FL; her siblings, Susan LaRose of Putnam, CT, Elaine Tetreault of Woonsocket, Alan LaRose of Goshen, NH, and Karen Edington of Woonsocket; and her beloved grandsons, Asher and Ayden. She was predeceased by her daughter, Kerri Jeanne Piedoux.
Her funeral will be held on Sunday, July 20th, beginning with visitation at 1:00 PM, followed by a service at 3:00 PM at Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hotel for Homeless Dogs, 44 Martin St., Cumberland, RI 02864 or to the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary, 266 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket, RI 02895
