Jeannine Carroll Obituary

Jeannine D. Jean Carroll, 68, of Woonsocket, passed away August 13, 2021 in The Friendly Home. She was the cherished wife of Michael Carroll, her husband of 43 years. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Annie (Glowacki) Roy. She was the loving mother of Michael Carroll and his wife, Ann, and Charles Carroll and his wife, Effina Hyatt. Jean also leaves a dear granddaughter, Elizabeth Carroll.

Jean grew up in a family of seven children. She is survived by two brothers, Roger and Eugene Roy, both of Woonsocket; three sisters, Marie Cobb of The Villages, FL, Suzanne Williams of Aliquippa, PA, and Lucille Gonsalves of Foster. She was predeceased by her brother, John Roy.

Jean began her career at Medoff Company, followed by many years at Crosby Valve, where she wore many different hats over the years.

She loved old movies, the New England Patriots, Roseville McCoy pottery, and Paul McCartney. Jean treasured time spent with family. When loved ones gathered, silliness, laughter, and eating ensued. Sun and sand figured prominently in some of Jeans fondest memories.

Her visitation will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 5-7 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Funeral services and burial are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donors favorite charity.
