Jeannine Y. (Dutremble) Drainville

Jeannine Y. (Dutremble) Drainville, 92, of Woonsocket, passed away January 13, 2026 in The Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Adelard Drainville, Robert Hutchins, and Liborrio Saporito. Born in Blackstone, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Irene (Gravel) Dutremble.

Mrs. Drainville worked for the Wrentham Developmental Center in various roles beginning as an attending nurse, then as a special service assistant, and retiring as the senior vocational instructor. Jeannine played the steel guitar with her brother, Paul, with the Silver Strings, and was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church, Slatersville. She was a devoted caretaker, and was a very social person, who loved being with people. Jeannine enjoyed playing slots and had a great sense of humor.

She leaves her daughters, Elaine Barbrie and her husband, Donald, of Blackstone, and Lorraine Hutchins of Glendale; five stepchildren, Brenda Varieur of Bellingham, who was very devoted to Jeannine, Kenny and Michael Drainville, both of Bellingham, and Lisa and Celeste Drainville, both of Blackstone; two brothers, Paul Dutremble of North Smithfield, and Jean Dutremble of Mapleville; her sister, Lorraine Palardy of Blackstone; her granddaughter, Amy Larsen, and her husband, Nathan Larsen, Sr.; her step grandchildren, Donald Barbrie Jr and his wife Jessica of Woonsocket, Denis Barbrie and his wife Jennifer of Henderson, NV, and Jenna Garza and her husband Jose of Pawtucket; two great grandchildren, Maya Belliveau and Nathan Larsen, Jr.; several step great grandchildren; as well as, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her stepdaughter, Gail Walker, her sisters, Laurette Archambault and Therese Carpentier, and her brothers, Fernand and Denis Dutremble.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026 beginning with visitation from 9AM - 10:15AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St., Slatersville. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Care Alliance, PO Box 1700, Woonsocket, RI 02895.
