Jeannine I. (Laliberte) Foisy

Jeannine I. (Laliberte) Foisy, 93, of North Smithfield, passed away peacefully July 24, 2025 at home with her loving husband of 74 years and family by her side.  Born in Woonsocket, she was the youngest in a family of 10 of the late Alphonse and Laura (LeBoeuf) Laliberte.   She grew up in Union Village, where she met her husband Armand and raised her family.

Jeannine will be remembered by many for her kindness, compassion, smile, and fun-loving spirit.  She expertly raised 5 children, was a devoted wife and meticulously cared for her homes.  She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and was an avid Red Sox fan.  Above all, she loved spending time with family and friends.

Besides her husband, Armand, she leaves her children, Claudette Zinszer and her husband, Dave, of North Smithfield, Paulette Nadeau and her husband, Phil, of Tiverton, Robert Foisy and his wife, Carol of North Smithfield, Donald Foisy and his wife, Dorothy, of Glendale, and Lisa St. Pierre and her husband, Ric, of Glocester; five grandchildren, Donald, Jennifer, Brad, Marc, and Cory; three great grandchildren, Taydon, Amy, and Kyle; her great-great granddaughter, Lorelei; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Kevin Laramee; five brothers and four sisters.

Private arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HopeHealth Hospice, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 or to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  The family would like to thank the staff of HopeHealth for their care and compassion.
