Joel A. Comire, 67, of Woonsocket, died November 11, 2023 in Landmark Medical Center. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Aime Comire and Beatrice (Remillard) Comire Motte.
Joel was a graduate of Woonsocket High School. Music was his passion, and he played both guitar and drums. Joel enjoyed woodworking, and coin and currency collecting.
He leaves his daughter, Shelley Johnson, and her husband, Michael, of Johnston; three brothers, Gerald Comire and his wife, Diane, of Woonsocket, Robert Comire and his wife, Lucille of Cumberland, and James Motte of California; four sisters, Patricia Huguenin and her husband, John, of North Smithfield, Jeanne Kelbaugh of Woonsocket, Elizabeth Griffin of Hopkinton, RI, and Michelle Nickerson of Hudson, NH; two grandchildren, Aislynn Hereth and Jacob Johnson, both of Johnston; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers, Ronald, Daniel, William, John, and Keith Comire.
His visitation will be held Friday, November 17, 2023 from 5-7 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Rhode Island, Attn: Development, 160 Broad Street, Providence, RI 02903.
