John Cunha Jr., 51, of Lincoln, died March 6, 2025 at home. Born in Providence, he was the son of John Sr. and Kathleen (O'Rourke) Cunha of Lincoln.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved John who left this world far too soon. A cherished son, brother, uncle, and brother-in-law, he was also a loyal and irreplaceable friend to so many. His absence leaves a space that can never be filled, and our grief is immeasurable.
For over 30 years, John remained devoted to the friends who became more like his family, a testament to his unwavering loyalty and the depth of his heart. To know him was to know someone who would stand by you through anything-a constant source of strength, humor, and kindness. His laugh was one of life's greatest gifts, rich and full, the kind that could turn even the darkest days a little brighter. If you were lucky enough to make him laugh, you knew you had given him something special, just as he gave so much to all of us.
Though our hearts are shattered, we pray that he is now in a place of peace, surrounded by love and beauty. More than anything, we hope he truly knows how deeply he was loved by every single life he touched. His memory will live on in our stories, our laughter, and the love we will always carry for him.
Along with his parents, John and Kathleen, he is survived by his siblings, Robin Stone and her husband Benjamin, of Moosup, CT, Holly Tartaglia and her husband Michael of Smithfield, Brendan Cunha of Lincoln and Christopher Cunha and his wife Carol, of Riverside; and eight nieces and nephews, Hayley, Zachary, Michael, Jacob, Samuel, Eve, Nicholas and Caitlyn.
His funeral will be held, Friday, March 14, 2025 beginning with visitation at 1PM, followed by a service at 3PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
