John N. Eastberg

John N. Eastberg, 82, of Narragansett, RI and Austin, TX died February 18,
2017 in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. He was the husband of
Carolyn (Champa) Eastberg and the late Eleanor (Dunn) Eastberg. Born in
Woonsocket, he was the son of the late John T. Eastberg and Marjory (Mills)
Cameron.

Mr. Eastberg was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a degree
in Electrical Engineering and served twenty years in the U.S. Air Force,
retiring in 1973 as a Major. He also worked for Control Data Corp. and
various other businesses. In addition to family get-togethers, sailing, and
home projects,John enjoyed walking vacations and biking trips throughout
Europe and the United Kingdom.

Besides his wife, Carolyn, he is survived by four children, John P.
Eastberg, James A. Eastberg, Curtis O. Eastberg and Alison (Eastberg) Tewes,
all of Austin, TX; a sister, Joyce Ducceschi of Walnut Creek, CA; five
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the grandfather of the
late J.R. Eastberg.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:30 AM in
Kingston Congregational Church, 2610 Kingstown Rd., Kingston, RI 02881. Burial will
be private. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt
Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to Kingston Congregational Church or the American
Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd. Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
