John J. Perry, Sr., 84, of North Smithfield and Port Charlotte, FL, passed away January 3, 2026 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of sixty-five years to Lois (Martell) Perry. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late John J. and Mariette (Van Coppenolle) Perry.
John served in the Air Force for twenty-two years as a technician in the 102nd ACS and the 143rd Air Lift Wing in Rhode Island. He was an HVAC contractor and former co-owner of Advanced Comfort Systems, North Smithfield. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, and playing instruments. He and his wife Lois enjoyed going on motorcycle rides together and were members of the Rhode Island Retreads Motorcycle Club. John enjoyed traveling to Errol, NH where they had a log cabin for many years. Family meant everything to John, and he loved to spend time with them, especially his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren.
Along with his wife Lois, he is survived by their two sons, John Perry, Jr. and his wife, Mary-Jean "MJ", of North Smithfield, and Scott Perry and his companion, Tammy Burns, of Woonsocket; four granddaughters, Jillian Perry, Jaclyn Casey and husband Brandon, Morgan Perry, and Madison Perry; four great grandchildren, Noah Yousafzai, Luca Yousafzai, Quinn Casey, and Hadley Casey; and two sisters, MaryJane Beaudreau and Carol Andrews, both of Port Charlotte, FL.
His funeral will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 beginning with visitation at 1PM, followed by a service at 4PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
