Johnathan Blain Obituary

Johnathan M.N. Blain, 26, of North Smithfield, passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident on June 7, 2020. Born in Milford, MA, he was the son of Jennifer L. (Burdick) Blain of North Smithfield, and Richard K. Blain of Woonsocket.

Besides his parents, he leaves his sister, Alicia A. Blain of North Andover, MA; his grandmother, Elizabeth Burdick of North Smithfield; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends that he considered family.

Johnathan was a 2011 graduate of Woonsocket Area Career and Technical Center, was currently attending CCRI to obtain his electrical journeymans license and was employed as an electrical apprentice at Izzo Electric for the past 3 years. He loved his family, friends, motorcycle riding, the outdoors and anything with a motor. He had a big heart, even bigger smile and an infectious laugh. There is not one thing that Johnathan wouldnt do for those whom he loved and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Johnathan was a friendly, loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to so many and will be sadly missed in this world.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation at Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, RI, on Sunday, June 14, 2020 from 1 4 pm. A memorial service will be held following the calling hours at 5 pm in the St. James Baptist Church, 340 South Main St., Woonsocket, RI and may be viewed live online at http://client.tribucast.com/tcid/46368551

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to a memorial scholarship in Johnathans name. Checks can be made out to Jennifer Blain and an award will be presented at the Woonsocket Area Career and Technical Center 2021 Senior Awards. The recipient will be a student who took a similar academic path as Johnathan and found his/her passion at the vocational school.
