Katelyn N. Cournoyer

Katelyn N. Cournoyer, 24, of Pawtucket, passed away February 23, 2019 in Rhode Island Hospital, surrounded by family and friends, after a long battle with Cystic Fibrosis .Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of William and Kathleen (Deslauriers) Cournoyer.

Kate was a lifelong Girl Scout and enjoyed camping, reading.and spending time with friends. She graduated from North Providence High School in 2012 and was studying Environmental Sciences at Colby Sawyer College and CCRI. She loved being outdoors and taking care of animals. She worked for many years at CVS in Pawtucket and enjoyed her job.

Besides her parents Kate is survived by three brothers, Christopher Lamond of Pawtucket; Steven Lamond of Fall River and Jason Cournoyer of Pawtucket, 2 nephews, Silas and Matthew Lamond, a maternal grandfather Ronald Deslauriers, as well as several aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 1-4 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, RI. Followed by a Celebration of Kate at VFW post 85 at 870 River St.,Woonsocket, all are welcome.
