With heartfelt sorrow but unwavering faith in God’s promise of eternal life, surrounded by the love of family and peace of Christ, Katherine Carbone was called home to be with the lord on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. She was the wife of Joseph Carbone of Woonsocket. Born in St. Paul, MN she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Lebrec) Cormier.
Mrs. Carbone was a homemaker, proudly raising her five children. Katherine enjoyed scratch tickets, watching anything on the Hallmark channel, cooking and would happily take ownership of her recipes, and also enjoyed dancing when she was younger.
Along with her husband, Joseph, she is survived by her five children, Dean Gauvin and his wife, Rose, of Woonsocket, Michelle Darling and her husband, Mark, of Woonsocket, Tina McDonald and her husband, Bruce, of Woonsocket, Monty Gauvin and his wife, Elaine, of Woonsocket, and Joseph Carbone and his wife, Holly, of Woonsocket; a brother, John Cormier of Woonsocket; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sixteen siblings.
Her funeral will be held Friday, July 25, 2025 beginning with visitation at 9AM followed by a service at 11AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Katherine's spirit of giving, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the charity of one's choice.
