Kevin O'Neil, 79, of North Smithfield, died March 4, 2025 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. Born in Woonsocket, he was the only son of the late Luke and Helen (Laffam) O'Neil of Cumberland.
Kevin was a Production worker at ARC of Northern RI for many years. He was an avid lover of anything in the 50, 60 or 70s, especially music. Kevin had a dry sense of humor and a quick wit. He had a winning smile and never took a bad picture. He loved to dance, fish and travel. He especially loved to travel to visit his cousins in New Jersey and Arizona. In his retirement, his ideal day would be having a large Dunkin coffee (iced or hot depending on the season) relaxing in a recliner watching a good Lifetime movie.
Kevin had a special relationship with his beloved foster family, James and Lucille Ackley of Woonsocket, as well as his foster brother, Jimmy, foster sisters, Amanda and Angela and foster niece, Kayla. Time spent at their house for Monday dinners and Holidays was his most cherished time.
A graveside service will be held Friday March 21, 2025 at 11am in St. James Cemetery, Old River Road, Manville. A Celebration of Life will be held at 80 Fabien st, Woonsocket on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11am. All are welcome to attend. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket.
