Lawrence "Larry" I. Ray, II, 93, of Blackstone, died July 15, 2022 in The Friendly Home, Woonsocket. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Shurick) Ray. Born in Milford, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Susan (Davis) Ray.
Mr. Ray was an electrician, serving the Town of Blackstone for 57 years. He was also the owner of Larry's Electric, Blackstone. Larry loved to travel, and especially enjoyed his trip to Hawaii. He owned a camp in Guilford, ME, where he would enjoy his time there with his wife, as well as, hunting, snowmobiling, and four-wheeling. He was also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas Ray and his wife, Susan, of Blackstone, and Lawrence Ray, III and his wife, Ann, of Sheffield; a brother, Robert Ray of Blackstone; two granddaughters, Kimberly Larson and her husband, Phillip, and Tracy Labonte and her husband, Steven; and four great grandchildren, Mitchell Morse, Emma and Brandon Labonte, and Joshua Duncan. He was the brother of the late Phillip Ray, and Marilyn Goulet.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022 beginning at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Divine Mercy Parish at St. Paul's Church, 48 St. Paul St., Blackstone. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5 - 7PM.
