Larry Maloney, age 70, a lifetime resident of Blackstone MA entered into eternal life on February 7, 2025. Larry believed in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1997 after meeting the love of his life, Judy Morrow. They married in 2002. Larry braved a long and arduous battle with Frontotemporal Dementia for 10 years which was believed to be the result of a serious car accident in 1972 which caused a subdermal hemotoma that had to be removed by surgery. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and driving his Camaro SS, going to concerts, and spending time with his wife.
He was known to always have a joke and could make people laugh easily. He retired from Garelick Farms in 1998 where he worked as a Blowmold Machine Technician. Larry was predeceased by his parents, a brother, and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Judy, his sister-in-law, Joanne Morrow, his brother-in-laws, Chris Morrow and Jeff Morrow (wife Laurie), his brother Peter Maloney of Boise, Idaho, his sister Mary Ferguson of Milford MA (husband Harry), and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be Thursday, February 13, 2025 beginning with visitation from 10AM followed by a service at 12 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 S. Main Street, Woonsocket. Frontotemporal Dementia is a neuro-degenerative disease that affects the frontal lobe of the brain and is non-curable. There are no approved treatments for this disease either. A donation to the Mass General Neurology: Cognitive Behavioral Neurology Unit, 55 Fruit Street, Wang Ambulatory Care Center, Suite 835, Boston, MA 02114 is strongly encouraged in order to research and find safe and effective treatments for this awful disease.
