Lillian E. (Chevalier) Brais, 104, of North Smithfield, passed away September 20, 2025 in St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Frederick G. Brais. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Derilda (Chabot) Chevalier.
Lillian worked as a Nurse's Aide in Woonsocket Hospital before retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Y wives of the YWCA, Potpourri Club, St. Joseph's Senior Citizen's, St. Agatha's Senior Citizens, St Germaine Manor Club and Royal Travelers.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Janet Brais; and her siblings, Lucien and Roger Chevalier, Lorraine Brouillard, Muriel Aubin, Jeannette and Anita Chevalier and Germaine Brissard.
Her funeral will be held Friday, September 26, 2025 beginning with a visitation from 9-10AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, 175 Beaver St., Franklin, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
