Lorraine M. (Sawyer) Laramee, age 93, of North Smithfield, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026, at The Holiday Retirement Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Emile J. Laramee, with whom she shared 76 years of marriage before his passing on April 18, 2026. Born in North Smithfield, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Eugene Sawyer and Amelia (Jodin) Sawyer.

She proudly served as the bookkeeper for her husband’s business, L&L Dozer. In her free time, Lorraine enjoyed trips to Las Vegas with her daughter, relaxing days at the beach, and spending time outdoors. She especially loved tending to her yard and gardens.

She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Connolly and her husband, Wayne Connolly, of Harrisville; her grandchildren, Brad Laramee, Marc Laramee and his fiancée, Holly, Thomas Connolly and his wife, Heather, and Scott Connolly and his wife, Regina; and her two great-grandchildren, Marlowe Connolly and James Connolly. She was predeceased by her son, Richard Laramee, and her grandson, Kevin Laramee. Lorraine was the last surviving member of her family’s seventeen siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Holt Funeral Home, 510 S. Main Street, Woonsocket. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m., followed by a service at noon. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd, Cumberland.
