Louis P. Lynch

Louis P. Lynch, 78, of Woonsocket, died October 10, 2019 at home. He was the husband of Lorayne (Destrempes) Lynch, whom he married April 19, 1974. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Louis J. and Mary (Lapchinski) Lynch.

Louis served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He then taught math for many years for Woonsocket Public Schools. He enjoyed coaching softball in Woonsocket, fly tying, golf, and bowling in his younger years. He loved all New England Sports, and travelling the country with his wife.

Along with his wife Lorayne, he is survived by a daughter, Nanci Potemri of Woonsocket, three sons, Timothy Lynch of NY, Robb Brunelle of CT, and Scott Lynch and his wife Jennifer of Warwick; five grandchildren; as well as one brother, Kenneth Lynch of Woonsocket.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2019 beginning with visitation at 9 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in Holy Trinity Parish, 1409 Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Road, Bellingham, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America, P.O. Box 758589 Topeka, KS 66675-8589.
