Lucille M. (Gaboury) Gentile

Lucille M. (Gaboury) Gentile, 82, of North Smithfield, passed away February 14, 2024 in St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of thirty-five years of Gary Gentile of North Smithfield. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Wilfrid Gaboury, Sr. and Antoinette (Jolicoeur) Gaboury.

Mrs. Gentile worked as a bookkeeper for the former Mulvey's Hardware in Woonsocket, retiring in 2004. Lucille was an avid reader, loved to travel, and enjoyed cooking and dining out.

Along with her husband Gary, she is survived by her brother-in-law, David Gentile of Cranston, her brother-in-law, Paul Gentile of New Mexico, her sister-in-law, Susan Avedissian of Warren, her sister-in-law, Amy Cardillo Gentile, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Wilfrid Gaboury, Jr., Gerard Gaboury, Annette Hopkins, and Claire Gaboury.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Nurses, CNA's, and staff of St. Antoine for the compassionate care Lucille received.

Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Rhode Island Chapter, 245 Waterman St. #306, Providence, RI 02906.
